Canada and our principal activities are: providing readers of our online magazine “Solar Home Review” with high quality content about residential solar energy, news on global renewable energy projects and climate concerns, compiling current international consumer resources for readers to use free of charge, and offering product and services recommendations, while all payment transactions are processed offsite by those sellers we have recommended. You can access our website home page and browse our site without disclosing your personal data. Our website enables you to communicate with other visitors via posting comments, and once comments are approved they are accessible by others. In order to demonstrate that our privacy policy accords with the herein stated privacy instruments namely PIPEDA, FIPPA and PIPA, we are subject to a Government Agency for Privacy legislation in B.C. Canada. Solar Home Review and it’s owner, volunteers or employees are also compliant with the following global instrument: OECD Guidelines on the Protection of Privacy and Transborder Flows of Personal Data.
Any personal data you provide us we will not disclose to any private or public subsidiaries or other organizations for any reason. We give you the option of using a secure transmission method to send us the following types of personal data: primary personal data, such as name and contact details. Paypal is the only secure online payment transaction service we use at this time and payment details provided at point of purchase are not kept on record by Solar Home Review and we do not have access to your payment information. When purchasing products via a referral from our website payment transactions are not processed on www.solarhomereview.com, but you will be directed to the seller and their secure online payment tansaction service. We recommend you become familiar with the secure payment systems used by those sellers. We make every effort to recommend only secure, reputable, quality online products or services.
We have implemented security policies, rules and technical measures to protect the personal data that we have under our control, which you have freely provided, from: unauthorised access, improper use or disclosure, unauthorised modification and unlawful destruction or accidental loss.
